Sound familiar?

Your budget app doesn't get weekly or fortnightly pay

Monthly budgets don't match how you actually get paid. You're constantly doing mental maths.

Spreadsheets lasted about two weeks

You started strong but life got busy. Now it's just a document you feel guilty about.

You never quite know what's "safe to spend"

Money's in the account but bills are coming. Can you afford dinner out? Who knows.

There's a better way

Built for NZ pay cycles

Weekly, fortnightly, or monthly. Your budget matches your actual pay dates.

Remy guides you through setup

Step-by-step coaching. No spreadsheet skills needed. No budget experience required.

Envelopes show you exactly what's left

Every dollar is allocated. Check your envelopes before you spend. Simple as that.

Core Feature

Envelope budgeting that actually makes sense

Split your pay into digital envelopes for rent, groceries, power, fun and so much more. When an envelope is empty, you know. No more guessing, no more overdoing it.

Your pay cycle, your budget

Fortnightly pay? Sorted. My Budget Mate budgets per pay cycle, not per month. Because Kiwis don't all get paid on the first of the month.

Frequently asked questions

It's free during the beta period. After launch, there'll be an affordable subscription. We'll give beta users plenty of notice and a loyalty discount before any pricing kicks in.
Yes! We connect through Akahu, New Zealand's trusted open banking platform. ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Kiwibank, Westpac, TSB, SBS, Heartland, Co-op Bank, and more are supported. Plus investment platforms like Sharesies and Hatch.
Similar concept (envelope budgeting), but purpose-built for NZ. Native bank connections through Akahu, fortnightly pay cycle support, NZD throughout, and Remy as your guide. No workarounds needed for how Kiwis actually get paid.
It's a method where you divide your income into "envelopes" for different expenses. Rent gets an envelope, groceries get an envelope, fun money gets an envelope. When an envelope is empty, you're done spending in that category. It's simple, visual, and it works.
Absolutely. We use Akahu, a regulated open banking provider in New Zealand. We never see or store your bank login details. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We take security as seriously as your bank does.
Not at all. Remy guides you through everything step by step. The whole point is to make budgeting approachable, not intimidating. Whether you've never budgeted before or you're a spreadsheet veteran, it works for you.
